On this date 150 years ago, the Cincinnati Red Stockings made their second stop of their East Coast tour, defeating the Mansfield Independents 48-14.  Fortunately, no “stand-in” team is needed for this rematch, as the current Mansfield Independents will again host the Red Stockings right near the site of the 1869 game at Mansfield High School.
